Dental Crowns

When a tooth becomes damaged as a result of trauma or decay, a tooth-colored filling may not be enough to adequately fix the problem. This is when a dental crown will be recommended. A custom restoration that is not only reliable but proven effective, as it is crafted to mimic the shape of your natural tooth and fit perfectly over the affected area. We use various materials based on the type of tooth that requires treatment, such as porcelain, gold, zirconia, eMAX, and porcelain fused to metal, so you can expect your crown to last 15+ years.

CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns

While traditional dental crowns can take weeks to fabricate and put in place, the CEREC same-day dental crowns process can be completed in a single day. Dr. Hill uses CAD/CAM software and digital impressions to capture the tooth’s image before making necessary changes and sending it to our in-house milling unit. Using a single block of dental porcelain, the machine will fabricate your new crown while you wait.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

A small cavity can be easily repaired with the help of a tooth-colored filling, but traditional amalgam is not required. Instead, Dr. Hill uses composite resin, which is a mixture of fine glass and plastic particles that form a malleable material that doesn’t expand when exposed to extreme temperatures or cause sensitivity. Also, the material is color-matched, so once it’s in place, it will blend in with surrounding teeth so that no one else will ever know it’s there.
